Tedious
This was once my absolute favorite podcast. However, Season 8 is essentially unlistenable...first of all, the Alex Murdaugh trial ended a year ago, so the extreme delay automatically makes this less compelling. Second, prior seasons included commentary from legal experts and analysis. Now, this pod seems to just let the testimony play with little thought to its evidentiary value. Finally, I just suffered through three--THREE--episodes of a forensic expert saying "the DNA matter was interpreted as coming from three individuals, and was eleventy zillion times more likely that person X and person Y contributed to the mixture." Literally that's all she says. Over and over for an hour combined. And there are more episodes coming...Because she hasn't been crossed yet. It's beyond boring, doesn't tell a coherent story, and could have been summed up in one sentence by the host. The show now seems to think listeners want to hear complete testimony from every witness whereas prior seasons did a much better job summarizing what was less relevant and focusing on the more important aspects. It's really too bad, because there is such potential for this type of pod.Read full review »

Great information for those of us who are not familiar with the legal processes or who have never been to a trial.
