Very informative but not very celebratory
I had only read the Dark Towers, IT, and The Stand before deciding to start reading all of Kings books in order at the beginning of 2020. So when I found this podcast later that year I was psyched to be able to have a sort of one-sided book club with them. They do a great job of having backstory of what else was going on in King's life at the time and interviews etc. Good literary analysis about related books and authors and genres that I have no reference for. My only Star Taker-Awayer™ is that it feels like the hosts really enjoyed reading King as kids, but are not as much rereading it as adults. I don't love every book and there are definitely problematic things, but I am enjoying reading them. Sometimes the pod makes me feel like I shouldn't be. But hey decide for yourself I'm just a random person on the internetRead full review »

No other Mick Garris fancast goes this deep into his collaborators. They’re still on the first one but I’m looking forward to the Kenny Ortega season.

I really enjoy this podcast, and I think anyone, even someone who hasn’t read any of King’s books (like myself) can get a lot of out listening to these two discuss and analyze his work. Highly recommend
