This is a very entertaining and informative podcast about diabetes. What I love the most is how upbeat it is. Dobie and Sammy don’t dwell on the negative aspects of the disease, which is refreshing.

Just my type scores big points for their podcasters with very different experiences and diagnoses and great chemistry! Sami has type one and follows a low fat, whole foods, plant based eating program that has helped her improve insulin sensitivity. She is studying and plans to work in a health...Read full review »

I stumbled across this podcast and loved the conversation. It never even occurred to me to look for diabetes support in podcasts, even though I’ve been Type 1 for 42 years!

I’ve been a T1 for almost 27 years. (Diagnosed at 2.5) I spent the first 15 years of my diagnosis feeling lost and alone. I knew only two people with T1 and my Gram was a T2. I’m so thankful to have so many new ways to share and listen to other’s stories and help spread the awareness of the...Read full review »

I’ve had t1d for 25 years and I’ve never heard until today that mental health is a part of diabetes, not a separate thing off to the side. It felt so good to FINALLY be affirmed in that thought! This podcast effectively creates the warm community that we all need, regardless of type or years...Read full review »

I love Just My Type! Usually podcasts talk about the same things all the time and it gets very boring. Just My Type always has new guests, new topics. I love how honest Sami and Dobie are! It feels like they are my friends. Thank you for creating such a wonderful, supportive and inspiring podcast!

I was diagnosed in 1970 at age 16 as Type 1. As I remember, my blood sugar was over 1000. So even though it’s been 52 years now, I’m learning a lot after getting involved in social media and podcasts. I especially like this Podcast for insights into diabetes and eating habits. Until 10 years...Read full review »

Thank you so much for bringing Diabetes to light in such a positive way. As an older diabetic, the data has changed so much over the years. The Tech, the data and all the things. Much appreciated.

Very inspirational - especially enjoy the interaction of the hosts and the way they discuss the interesting issues of what living as a diabetic is like - unlike many of the other podcasts that only focus on medical issues.

Loving the different perspectives so far from T1/T2, female/male, and young/old (and soda/pop, ha). I think the coming together of these two perspectives will be helpful for our community.
