“Appreciate everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but It’s so easy to take the mickey out of something if you don’t understand it. Have you read the books? Bet not. Fiction based partly on reality. Bond is unique. Positive things about it, negative things too. But that is the beauty of it. I can live with Austin Powers because it’s born out of a creator who loves Bond.
Just go with it and appreciate that no character or franchise has lasted 60 years! JFK had this notion when he endorsed the From Russia With Love novel - this character is relatable and gives people hope in a crisis. Although I appreciate elements are unrealistic - but why focus on that? Laziness?
So, to sum up, no appreciation for this podcast simply because it’s lazy - so easy just to make fun of every aspect of something without backing it up with an alternative.”
