“As a displaced Angeleno now on the East Coast, I love getting my memory fix from this podcast. I am way older than these guys so I can see some stuff they’re missing. Suggestions: do an episode on la writers and the places and events they depict, like James Ellroy and his stories about the Black Dahlia and Parker and Two Gun Davis. Also Chandler.. Also, the long gone department stores like the Sears on Soto St. (Where I got back to school clothes in the mid 60s) and the May Co at Laurel Plaza, the downtown Robinson’s and the old Hamburgers Dept Store that turned into May Co.”
