Why is adoption overlooked?
I found the episode about last shot pregnancy so familiar. It was so refreshing to hear about other women's fertility journeys and experience of the “panic years”. I’m really curious as to why adoption is not even summarily considered or discussed. Why are women overlooking this option? Is it to do with the legal and policy barriers to adopting in Australia? (E.g. Personally I cannot adopt because I have a mental illness). Or is it because people want a child that is biologically theirs? Would be great to unpack this in another episode.Read full review »
