“The people who narrated and did the research for Seasons 1 and 2 were charismatic and talked to the listener like a REAL conversation, not something super scripted. Season 3 is narrated by different people and now the podcast has a totally different vibe. The intonation of their voices sounds so "pretend" (like reading a script), I honestly can't even tell if I'm still listening to the podcast, or an advertisement break. Unfortunately, it's kind of the same cadence as a high school valedictorian speech: good writing, but lack of personality in delivery. The interpersonal story and genuine enthusiasm that I used to love this podcast for has been lost in the 3rd Season. I hope it can still turn around for Season 4.”Read full review »

“Not particularly engaging content - a lot of it moves really really slowly, and the narrator really like to slowly repeat points that were made. That isn’t fun. Could’ve summarized as a series in a short article.”
