Hmm sounds weird.
I consider myself an advanced Japanese learner, and I asked my Japanese friends about her way of speaking because I noticed her intonation was different. First, her intonation is often off (She is from Okayama or something?). Not the very standard Japanese. Her topics are very elementary in each episode so I don't really learn new vocabulary. So those who are intermediate or advanced, yeah you feel good because you udnerstand pretty much everything, if not literally everything, but you have to ask yourself "Is that what you need to improve?" Second, do you want to sound like her? I often ask myself this question when I use the podcast for shadowing. My aforementioned friends said most native Japanese people don't sound like her. So that's another thing you have to think about when you are learning from someone. She sounds very scripted is what my friends also said. At least for me this is not what I was looking for. Just wanted to share it with other listeners. 1 star just so people can find it more easily and actually read this.Read full review »
