With the global pandemic causing major running race cancellations on every continent it looked like 2020 would be the year that no-one would be up-holding the annual pilgrimage or running from the Acropolis to Sparta - just like the Spartathlon (but not the Spartathlon) Ian and James have run every Spartathlon since 2015 and with their version of SpartathlOFF they did created something wonderfully unique - whilst keeping the original dreams of John Foden alive. Nathan's story is one of folklore In just the space of a few years Nathan went from being 18 stone and physically incapable of running to winning the Michael Callaghan Trophy for 1st British finisher at 2017 Spartathlon Since then he has won several high profile races and his superb 24 hour performance at the World 24 hour Champs gave him his first Team GB call up. More great Spartathlons, 24 hours and Ultras will surely follow

Legends of Spartathlon - Episode 2 - with the French legend Gilles Pallaruelo. Gilles has finished Spartathlon an astonishing 17 times He is also a multiple Balaton finisher and competed in most of the French Ultra races for over twenty years We loved recording this with Gilles - what an absolutely beautiful man, a real legend in the global ultra-marathon arena and with still the Spartathlon fire in his belly. Hopefully we will be re-united at a future Spartathlon
