used to be great, now just tiresomely self-righteous
Erica Wides was one of the podcaster who drew me into the world of food podcasts, especially on Heritage. She was funny, educated, generous with the tips and recipes. No longer. As a long-time vegan myself, I am happy to hear about the politics of food -- but the worst kind of ambassador for the pro-nutrition, anti-big corporate food -ists is a close-minded, slogan-reliant, ranter as Wides has become. She was alway a slightly smug know-it-all (just check out the impatience she provoked on the usually good-humored "Chopped" judges' panel), but her eccentrities were balanced by her curiousity and knowledge. I learned about Chef Erica on Garden Fork. I thought I would just try her podcast and have since become addicted. I have a long commute and enjoy listening to her episodes. I wish I lived in NYC, so that I could enroll in her classes. Her students are very blessed. Keep up the good work.

Undoubtedly the most interesting personality on the podcasting airwaves. Great storyteller gorgeous voice I have heard too. I would listen to her read the dictionary.
