Here’s what’s so great about “Let’s Get Real” - every episode is a reminder that just because a packaged food says “healthy” and “nutritious” on its packaging, it ain’t necessarily so. Erica won’t let us forget that marketing is big business for the food industry. I love listening to her...Read full review »

Let’s Get Real is the second best show on the Heritage Radio Network (sorry Erica, but Cooking Issues will always be my first love). Erica Wides' podcast cuts to the core of all the problems with modern food. She does indeed have opinions, but boy are they worth listening to. She manages to...Read full review »

This show cracks me up every week—It’s like a food-themed comedy hour that confirms all my suspicions about big food—watch your back people—birthday cake flavored vodka is a sign!!

Too bad, I wanted to like this. Too much ranting about 'the wrong sort' of food (and people?) and little to no useful information in recent episodes. If you are going to rail against bad food, and I am all for that, please balance with something positive to say.Read full review »

Saw Erica’s visiting over at Gardenfork.TV making gravy with Eric. FINALLY I understand both the principles and the practice of making a gravy. Funny, irreverent, fast-paced. Erica’s a great companion on commutes. Love her show.

Erica Wides was one of the podcaster who drew me into the world of food podcasts, especially on Heritage. She was funny, educated, generous with the tips and recipes. No longer. As a long-time vegan myself, I am happy to hear about the politics of food -- but the worst kind of ambassador for...Read full review »

I started listening to Erica Wides when her podcast was called "Why we Cook", and it was fantastic. Lots of really quality food & cooking information. It made me want to get into the kitchen and cook. I went into the archives and listened to every single episode & would like to...Read full review »

I really liked Erica Wides old show, but Let's Get Real is just the same thing over and over with a different food backdrop. Erica Wides has a lot of cooking knowledge and it was great getting her political ideas interspersed within a lot of information about cooking. Now it just seems all...Read full review »

Takes a great topic and sullies it with politics. Erica should rename her podcast to "Sprouting my Bull." The topics are worth discussing, her political viewpoint - not.Read full review »

I love this show. As a cilinury student, this is really helpful and fun as well. Not to mention that the voice of the host is really attractive.

I learned about Chef Erica on Garden Fork. I thought I would just try her podcast and have since become addicted. I have a long commute and enjoy listening to her episodes. I wish I lived in NYC, so that I could enroll in her classes. Her students are very blessed. Keep up the good work.

After listening to my last two podcast episodes of my two favorite food realted shows (KCRW Good food and NPR food podcast), I was hungry for more. I happened upon Chef Erica's show and was hooked. I can relate to many of the topics and conversation in the show because I am also a CA...Read full review »

What I like about Erica is that she is herself. No food hype or trying to be a radio personality, AND she really knows what she is talking about ( unlike me ) because she is a real-world chef and there is always a storyline to each show. Thx. Eric of GardenFork.TV & GardenFork Radio

I stopped by Roberta's in Brooklyn to find out who had built out the two shipping containers behind the bar into an awesome tiny structure only to find out it was the radio station for the Heritage Radio Network. I went online to find out more about them and came across this show (they have...Read full review »
