“I’ve always been fascinated by mythology because it’s always been an escape for me from the ‘norms of present day society’ so naturally I was drawn to this podcast. However I was disappointed by the constant references to present day pop culture. In the episode centered on Sappho the poetess. People like me who want to get lost in the beauty and renaissance of the ancient times do not need to be reminded by present day pop and the basics. Mythology should be undiluted, pure , ancient and stay true to its ancient glory. No need to reference to the Taylor swifts and lady Gaga of today.
