Jack Cambria is a retired member of the New York City Police Department who worked in law enforcement for over 33 years. In 2001, Jack was chosen to command the NYPD’s elite Hostage Negotiation Team where he coordinated the training of over 100 negotiators who responded to negotiation incidents across New York. Today, he teaches negotiation principles and skills to businesspeople. In this episode, we discuss the principles of negotiation, the importance of failure in success, how to connect with and handle your emotions, and the role that adversity plays in negotiations.
