Always love the show, and enjoyed substitute hosts Megan and Kim! Look forward to Pam’s return though. PS Made me miss Kim’s the best thing I saw on tv this week and Little House recaps on EHG🥳

I love Sassy but I love the banter between Tara, Pam and David even more.

I adore this podcast. I love the hosts. join the Listen to Sassy Club!!! It’s awesome!! I was an avid Sassy reader at 11 with the first (or maybe third) issue. This magazine definitely helped make me who I am today. It’s amazing to hear Tara, Pam, and Dave talk about each Sassy issue. It’s...Read full review »

I studied every issue of Sassy more than any textbook and remember each page that Tara and Pam discuss! It thrills my heart to hear such earnest perceptive readings of these beloved tracts. Like being thrown back into high school with a set of dear new friends. Wonderful!

This is my favorite new podcast, despite never having cracked the cover of Sassy. I’ve been following Dave, Tara, and Paimie in their various endeavors for 20 years and listening to this feels like being let in on their friendship AND taking a tour through late ‘80s nostalgia. A delight.

My favorite find of the year. It’s been great hearing them all reminisce and crack each other up.

Pam, Tara, and Dave are the friends I didn’t know I needed during these pandemic times. I didn’t read Sassy magazine, but I sure love listening to it! Kevin Coogan forever!

Another fantastic podcast from my favorite crew! I cry laughing throughout each episode! Edited my review to note that David is OUT OF CONTROL in the show!

I’ll admit I procrastinated on trying this out “a podcast reading through a 1988+ teen magazine? How does that work?” I was silly to not try it earlier because it is the happiest, funniest podcast I’ve heard in a long time. Pam, Dave & Tara are fantastic. You don’t need to have ever read...Read full review »

I came across from ‘Again With This’ to give it a try and I’ve never looked back! I’m now on my second run through and it’s still just as hilarious!! I love all 3 hosts and find every episode hilarious- even though I’d never even heard of this magazine - slightly too young and not in the right...Read full review »

I was so excited when I heard about this podcast. It’s a great premise, but the hosts are cringy - unfunny, annoying, and basically the opposite of what you thought the cool kid Sassy readers of the late 80’s would grow up to be.
beatchik72 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 09/20/21
…but this podcast is the best! A recap podcast (leave it to the professionals!) of a magazine seems like it shouldn’t work but it absolutely does, and this is so much fun. Great memories of Sassy (and many that make me feel like I’m talking about this with my cool older sister, who was the...Read full review »

I’m slightly too young for the early days of Sassy (I was 7 when it started and 15 when it ended) but it definitely influenced my young self and all of the teen culture I consumed. Listening to Pam, Tara, and Dave talk about this time period and go through the magazine is a real joy. It feels...Read full review »

As a listener whom was not around/old enough for this magazine, this is 100% entertaining. It’s very obvious how impactful this magazine was to a certain sect and it’s wonderful. Tara, Pam, and Dave are crazy in the best ways and love hearing their stories.

Yes 🥰❤️💕found through Again With This, stayed for the great recapping skills and excellent podcasting of the gang! Also-the effort you put into your show notes does not go unnoticed-thank you!

I feel really bad writing criticism here because I do think this is a very dope podcast, and I am a devoted longtime fan of the entire Tara/Dave/SDB extended universe, and I am still giving it 5 stars…………. but I just really needed to express how unpleasant it can be sometimes to listen to podcast...Read full review »

So fun reliving my glory days with Tara, Pam, Dave and my fave teen mag, Sassy. Takes me back to a simpler time, which is always appreciated. Thanks guys!

I might have only been 3 years old when Sassy came out, but I would easily have been as obsessed with it as Pammy and Tara. Love listening the crew rehash late 80’s teen culture.

I was too young for Sassy, but it doesn’t matter, this is like a trip down memory lane. Also when Pam and Dave make each other crack up I can’t help laughing.
Dbacksgirl177 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 06/02/21
Fun trip down memory lane with funny people. Not gonna lie, fav moments are when Dave and Pam get into laughing fits and I imagine Tara sitting there exasperated.

Five stars alone for Tara’s Michael McDonald impression! But I could also listen to these three talk about pretty much anything (Tandoori Lady, anyone?).

Thank you for this podcast. I didn’t get into Sassy until 1992 when I was 12- my first issue was the Kurt and Courtney cover that I still have. But I am here for all of it. Sassy was such a part of my formative years. Also, MBTV got me through my first summer desk job. So I love you.

Absolutely loving this podcast, has made me laugh every episode - from Dave’s hilarious intros to Tara and Pam’s anecdotes. We didn’t have sassy in Australia but the sentiment and style of the magazine is oh so familiar (‘’Dolly’ anyone?)

I was not allowed to read Sassy as a young teen but I thought of it as the epitome of cool and would read it cover to cover at friend’s houses. I’m the same age as Tara and I love hearing all the nostalgia and I laugh along with the hosts and all their silliness. Kevin Coogan forever!

I am slightly too young to have experienced Sassy in the day but I do remember the 90s and I also really appreciate a podcast that’s pure escapism. This is the podcast I needed and didn’t know it.

I was born in 1976 and Sassy magazine entered my life when I was 12, inspiring me and opening up my otherwise provincial world. Sadly, I capitulated to my Stepmother’s demand that I throw all of my old issues out when I went to college. Oh how I regret that!!!! But now I can listen to Sassy and...Read full review »

I shouldn’t love this podcast. I never read an issue of Sassy. I was slightly outside of the demographic for the magazine. This podcast is a time machine for Gen Xers, and even as an existing fan of the podcasters’ other shows, was surprised how much fun this is. It’s like being back in junior high, without the homework.

Since Dave got no love in some reviews this five stars is specifically for the image he put in my head of a mounty rubbing baking soda on his horses gums to see if it was cocaine and I swear to god I nearly peed my pants driving home 🤣. Great podcast you guys! 😊

I have never touched or seen an issue of sassy magazine, I’m just a bit too young for it. Does that matter? No! This podcast has me literally lol’ing multiple times a segment. If you love ‘80s and ‘90s this podcast is a riot!

I am a little older than hosts and from the UK so was only vaguely aware of Sassy, but am loving the memories of being a teenager. I normally listen when out walking and occasionally have to stop listening as I am laughing so much and starting to get strange looks!

Hi! Kari from Colorado, love your podcast! Called your Sassy hotline and y’all played my message, to my 13 year old self chagrin. Just wanted to drop y’all a line and say thanks again for the laughs. And PS... Dave, I replaced the battery on the fire alarm at my workplace. Haha!

Sassy was the much-needed antidote to the other magazines I was reading as a teenager, and this fun, hilarious, and very thorough podcast is my much-needed antidote to the monotony of doing the dishes. Extra Hot Great is my desert island podcast, so more content from Tara and Dave (two humans that I wish I actually knew in real life) is very exciting. I stole my sisters Sassy magazines and they warped my little 8 year old mind. I have no regrets except that my mother threw them all out claiming spring cleaning. This podcast is as nostalgic as it is hilarious. Pam, Tara and Dave are the warped friends everyone aspires to have, and hopes to be.
