The Red Sox fell below .500 for the 1st time since June 11 (33-34) with an 8-3 loss in the series opener against the Tampa Bay Rays Tuesday night at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida. The Red Sox are 1-4 on their current road trip with 2 more to go against the Rays.  The Sox are now 75-76.  ----- On the Board 1st: Triston Casas got the Red Sox on the board 1st with a 2-out, 2-run Home Run in the 2nd Inning.  Wilyer Abreu extended the Inning with a two-out walk against Shane Baz and then Casas went deep to right field. It's his 9th Home Run on the season and 5 of his 9 have come with 2 outs (Baseball Reference) in an Inning..  ----- Not Nick's Night: Nick Pivetta was staked to a 2-0 lead early on. Pivetta gave up a solo Home Run to Junior Caminero in the 4th Inning to make it a 2-1 game.  Pivetta allowed a leadoff Home Run to Josh Lowe and that evened the game at 2-2 in the 5th Inning.  Later in the Inning, Pivetta gave up his 3rd Home Run of the game, a 2-out shot by the #9 hitter, Jose Siri and that gave the Rays their 1st lead of the night.
