Don’t Even Bother
Well, looks like Dana Goodyear is just another hack job journalist in today’s “all about me” society. Completely unoriginal, this season was clearly carefully curated to boost Dana’s ego at the expense of the Roehler Family. This is not true journalism, but one sided, sensationalized entertainment, in search of ratings. According to the American Press Institute, a “Journalist's first obligation is to the truth, and its first loyalty is to its citizens. They must strive to put the public interest – and the truth – above their own self-interest or assumptions.” If you know anything about this case, you will know that pertinent information was omitted to back the author’s misguided assumptions. Not sure how she sleeps at night knowing she capitalized off of another’s misfortune. That she put the daughters through that pain once more, for her own benefit, is disgraceful. Onto the actual case, it boggles my mind that Fred Roehler was convicted of killing his wife and son on a “skit” that was performed in court, when there was no actual evidence at all to prove that he did it. Aren’t we all innocent until proven guilty? The criminal system failed Fred Roehler and he should have never been sent to prison.Read full review »

I wish there was a psychic warning on true crime shows so I’d know in advance so I’d avoid them
