The episode on velvet and corduroy was so timely. After listening while traveling I came home and my BF corduroy order had arrived! As many times as I have sewn on corduroy I did learn some things. I’m glad I heard it before diving into my project. Thank you !

I happened upon this somehow and randomly started listening and I’m going in order (should I?) from the beginning. I hit the 30th today, so I’m still in 208 haha. I am a very beginner sewist who needs the camaraderie and inspiration and I’m taking notes and hoping to make a project again soon...Read full review »

I’ve enjoyed this show for some time and it’s lovely. Unfortunately all the episodes are suddenly all available only through a subscription. I completely agree people should be paid for their work. I’m just not able to pay $5/month for every show I follow. I’m so sorry to unfollow, but for those...Read full review »

Honestly it’s been about 7 years since this was the first podcast I ever listened to and I’m yet to find another podcast that I enjoy as much as this one. I’ve tried a lot of educational and chatty podcasts but none of them hold my attention in the same way or are as relevant to my interests....Read full review »

I have enjoyed the podcasts and have given you my business by ordering fabric from Blackbird and purchasing a pattern or two. I assumed your podcasts were to support those businesses and now, having to pay - again - to listen to them does not seem fair. I’m out.

I really loved this podcast… fun, interesting and informative. Helen and Caroline are great hosts. I use patterns from Helen’s Closet company and they are very good indeed. But now the’ve set up a pay to listen system. Initially they said it would not stop there being free episodes but sadly none...Read full review »

Found your podcast while searching for something new to listen to. You are just right for me! I’m a quilter but love to venture out and see other things. Your giving me inspiration to do just that. Also like the episode where you provided other podcasts, movies, and music while sewing. Normally I...Read full review »

Great podcast but recently made a misguided statement about Israel. Caroline and Helen, you can support Palestine and condemn Hamas.

Loved this podcast and the hosts but looks like all the fun new episodes are subscriber only. I’m going to unfollow this show as all the new content is behind a paywall now.

I listen to many quilting and sewing podcasts. But yours is the number 1. When a new episode comes up, I’d look at the time length and the longer it is the happier I am, more to listen to:) The last podcast with Bernadette, 1 hour and 10 minutes, yes!!! Now I want to buy her book. May I...Read full review »

Sometimes by the title I may do and think it really doesn’t interest me. This was the case with the episode on hand sewing. But it was so interesting even if I never plan to hand see a garment. And I always learn something that I can put to use. In this case, I own a leather thimble. I’m...Read full review »

This podcast is informative and well-researched, but could benefit from a more conversational tone. The debates are even scripted, which makes it feel impersonal and disingenuous. Conversations that are less scripted will sound more natural and be more engaging to listen to.

I discovered this podcast a few years ago when I started to learn to sew my own clothes and it’s been a fantastic resource that’s helped and inspired me along the way, I look forward to every new episode I just wish they were longer 😍. Love Helen’s patterns my favourite the Ruby overalls ❤️.

My daughter introduced this podcast to me, which I found so very interesting. I started to sew in the 60’s, making clothes because it was so economical, using the big four pattern companies.
