I just found and started listening to this show and have loved every moment. Kimberly and Xand bring such different perspectives that have really helped me to understand the nuance of different parts of the body and how they impact my life and the lives of others. I’d love to see more in this...Read full review »

Kimberly saved my life which 2 medical doctors, 2 emergency room doctors, 1 psychiatrist and 1 endocrinologist could not. Looking at the amygdala as an arousal response as opposed to the fight or flight response is incredibly powerful. Our bodies CAN turn that narrative completely on its head....Read full review »

So sad I discovered this only after it was over. This is so deep and thought provoking. I’d love to hear another series from these two!

I have listened to all episodes of “Made if Stronger Stuff” and greatly enjoyed each one. Kimberly and Xand seem genuinely engaged in their tour of the human body. They find people with unusual experiences as well as researchers who can help interpret these experiences. I would love to continue...Read full review »

This podcast has been an excellent listen. Sure, it’s informative, but the main thing I love about it is the real, balanced, human stories and the humanity of both presenters. The episodes are full of knowledge and details of up to date research, but are not stuff in the slightest. A wonderfully...Read full review »

I’ve been a nurse for a long time and I started listening for deeper understanding of body systems and organs, in a format I could listen to while driving to work. Now my kids and I listen before bed and we all learn something new every episode. I love that there’s plenty of info in...Read full review »

I have been enjoying these podcasts for a while and always find the subjects interesting and well presented. I’ve listened to the new episode today, about the amygdala, and think it’s the most valuable information so far. As an overwhelmed mum of four, business owner, and living in a country with NO family, I was diagnosed with ADHD at the ripe old age of 42. I just knew something wasn’t right with my thoughts and actions. After deep diving on the medication options, thorough help from my psychiatrist and talking...Read full review »

At its best when it focuses on the medical side of things. Two thirds of the epidode on hair was taken up by a discussion on Afro hair and the trials of ‘conforming’ to European hair. Yawn. Is any BBC production safe?
