“Someone in my family is married to a covert narc. He portrays himself as a kind, caring spiritual man but behind the scenes at home is cold and cruel and plays insane mind games with her.
He has slandered her to her family and THEY BELIEVE HIM. He does crazy making behavior and then points out how frazzled/unstable she is. Of course he seems like the sane, stable one.
He even does the whole ambient abuse. Changing things in the house...subtle things that sound paranoid when you explain it but she knows it’s legit. I could go on and on.
I’m just really thankful for this podcast and want to send it to my entire extended family who call him a “saint” and “so strong” to take care of his depressed, paranoid wife.
He’s totally in the discard phase and I’m really worried about her. Divorce isn’t an option for him because it would make him look bad. He’s already telling the family he’s worried she’s going to hurt herself. I talk and text her every day. She’s NOT SUICIDAL. Sorry this got so long.
