This week we take a look at the first appearance of the next superstar of the silver screen, Kraven the Hunter. In his first appearance he fights apes, drinks a mysterious smoking brew and goes cruising in Central Park. Also: Peter Parker's love life is a mess, and we couldn't be happier about it. Before that we talk about a whole bunch of TV shows, including Rings of Power and Dune: Prophecy. There's news, and we welcome the new king scooper, Denzel Washington himself. Plus: t...

It's the finale of The Penguin and good news: everybody ends up happy! Whew, I was worried for a minute there. Well okay, maybe that doesn't happen but wow was this a good final episode. We loved it. Before we get to The Penguin we have some news, including James Gunn personally humiliating me, new MCU trailers out of Brazil, and we discuss the ins and outs of Bluesky, the social network folks are fleeing to now that Twitter has gone full evil. If you don't care ...

It's the penultimate episode of The Penguin, and things get explosive. Plus, we take a look back at Oz's childhood and hoo boy do things get dark. Real, real dark. This show is not afraid to make this guy a true villain. Speaking of which, Sofia seemingly graduates to real supervillain status this episode, and we couldn't be happier. We recorded this episode on Election Day eve, so we have a little bit to say about that, but there's also a scoop that I drop about something coming up...

It was Agatha all along after all. The show comes to an incredibly satisfying end, and lays groundwork for more yet to come in the MCU. This week Derek and I finally find a version of Aubrey Plaza that gets our motors humming, we discuss why Agatha ends up in the form she does, and argue about whether lemons were available in Massachussetts in 1750.Before that: we are recording on Halloween! There's candy talk, Ozempic talk and then we get into Marvel's entire 2025 slate, especially...

Oz is up against the wall when the Maronis and Gigantes put the kibosh on his Bliss business, but he's always at his best when he's up against the wall. And when he's at his best he's a lying, cheating, backstabbing villain - this show does not hide just how awful its protagonist is. Before that: Zendaya is a goddess! James Gunn debunks more dumb rumors! And maybe the new trivia book we're using is a bit too hard. If you don't care about all of that skip right to 37:50 for the meat and t...

It's a whopper of a Marvelvision as we go long on the excellent new episode of Agatha All Along. Is this the best Marvel TV episode? Is pre-trauma real? And has Derek ever had his tarot cards read? Find out! Before that: Blade disappears from the release schedule! Tom Holland talks Spider-Man 4! And does Venom: The Last Dance set up a Sony/MCU crossover in that fourth Spidey film? Plus more news and impossibly hard trivia. If you don't care about that ski...

Can the show live up to last week's stellar episode? Hell yes, it turns out, as things get hotter and hotter for Oz (and some other folks as well). Homecoming is a packed episode where a ton of stuff happens and where the status quo changes in major, major ways, and we're here to break it all down. As part of that we ask questions like: does the Chief of Police think Sofia is the Hangman? Will Vic make it out of the show alive? And should The Penguin's villain lair be an abandoned c...

It's the Teen backstory we've been waiting for, and even though we all knew who he was, it still lands! And we get to see his side of the interrogation from episode 1. Plus: did they sneak Hulkling into this episode? Before that we have a bit of news, including new Fantastic Four images and Tom Holland saying the Spider-Man 4 script still needs work. What does that mean? And what does Tom put first - himself or Spider-Man? If you don't care about that, skip to 28:41.&n...

What if we got an episode of The Penguin and it had almost no Penguin in it and it was still one of the best episodes of the show so far? This week's installment has Sofia's backstory and really heightens the so-called grounded show to a level that is thrilling and fun. Before that we have a little bit of news and Derek relays the story of his visit to the Winchester Mystery House. And when you get to the end of the episode... it's not the end! We ended up going on a coup...

It's a big reveal this week as Teen's true identity becomes known - well, to anyone who reads Marvel Comics, I guess. But don't worry, because we break down just what that crown means and who he is, as well as talk about what did and did not work in this Ouija-tastic outing. Before that we talk about some dumb life stuff, all the Lanterns news and whether we should be criticizing it already, and the wild flood of likely phony scoops we keep getting about Spider-Man 4. If y...

Have you been wanting to get to know Vic better? This episode is for you, as it explores Oz's sidekick's past, including where he was when The Riddler flooded Gotham City. Meanwhile, as always, Oz is thinking on his feet but he also seems to keep getting himself into deeper and deeper trouble. Is there a faction in Gotham City he won't piss off? Before that we have news and updates, including Derek's adventure door knocking as a campaigner for democracy. Skip to 27:58 if you just wan...

It's a 70s spectacular... but no coke. I guess that was Kevin Feige's hard rule, as per Deadpool and Wolverine. On Agatha All Along this week we have the next trial, and it includes rocking out and a cool demon. Plus: gay stuff! Before that we learn that Derek has made a shocking decision, and we talk about the newly announced Dynamic Duo animated movie coming from DC. If that's of no interest to you, skip right to 32:54 and get to the episode recap and review!Ne...

Oz has really stepped in it and this week things just keep getting more difficult. The Penguin keeps ramping up the complications in a way that reminds us of Breaking Bad, but thankfully not quite that nerve-wracking. We talk about some news and some new movies, including The Apprentice and Megalopolis, and if you don't want to hear all that just skip right to 26:59. Also: our Watch Men episode about Blade is up, and serves as an unexpected memorial to Kris Kristofferson. We recorded it right...

Good news everyone - Marvel listened to Derek's complaints last week and over the past seven days totally fixed Agatha All Along to his liking. This week's episode is clever, spooky, fun, and best of all, episodic. There's a whole story in here! Before that: news! Including who is playing Hal Jordan, what Marvel movie Jordan Peele might direct and the tuna fish sandwich I had for lunch. If none of this appeals, please skip right to 38:36 to get into the recap/review.In a couple of da...

So, heads up: we had some technical difficulty with this episode. This required a lot of stitching things together, which I'm not exactly the best at, and as a result you may find the episode to have a certain delightfully herky jerky feel to it. We begin our coverage of The Penguin, the spin-off from The Batman, and boy oh boy do we like this one. A bunch. A mob show set in the Gotham of Matt Reeve's Batman, this is a grounded and gritty take that actually works. Because ...

It's a fight! This week we throw down over Agatha All Along, the latest MCU show on Disney+. A spin-off of Wandavision, this show forces us to ponder just what an episode is, and also gives us a very good song. But like I said, there's a tussle in there. Before that we have a little bit of news, the ants are back, and a trivia question stumps both your hosts. Don't care about that? Jump right to 25:13.We'll be back before you know it - Marvelvision is going twice a week as...

This week we're diving back into the first appearance of Agatha Harkness, whose new show Agatha All Along debuts on Disney+ in the coming days. We'll be covering that show, so it made sense to look back at where it all started. And it started kinda weird! This comic is at the end of the historic Lee/Kirby run, and it's a light and odd story that finds The Thing in full Lou Costello mode. In the intro: we have a bit of news, including the Venom 3 trailer. If you d...

This week and next we prepare for September's new comic book shows, The Penguin and Agatha All Along. Up first: the first appearance of The Penguin in an early Batman adventure that shows just how much Bats was not a grim avenger of the night for very long at all. That starts at 1:02. Yes, one hour and two minutes. But if you skip to there you'll miss all the news that hit this weekend, including a bunch of rumors, the question of whether we need anymore Falcone in Batman ...

We wrap up the first season of Caped Crusader with a Two-Face two-parter, and it's a doozy. Stick around until the very end to hear us talk about where this show stacks up in the history of adapted Batmen and our relationships with Batman adaptations over the years. Before that: Derek goes to a concert! The Thing is seen on the set of Fantastic Four! This week's trivia is really, really hard. Interested in the Superman piece I recollect fondly in this episode? We're back from our trip, which means it's back to Gotham as we get to the penultimate episode of our series on the newest Batman cartoon, Batman: The Caped Crusader. This one gives us an LA Confidential-tinged cop story and a vampire tale filled with special guest stars who go unremarked upon in the show. Sneaky! We don't have as much intro this week as usual, but our theme song is by Todd Rundgren. Thanks for listening!

This week the Faraci boys did something we rarely do - we got together! We took a family road trip to visit the home of Jerry Siegel, where Superman was created. And we went with our father and our sister. This episode was recorded by a single mic on the dining room table of a rented AirBnB, and our father Joe joins (Ariel declined). This one is all-intro, no meat, but the real ones have been waiting to hear from Joe!We'll be back soon with our regularly scheduled program. Thanks for listening!
