You're trying too hard to sound like AM radio
Dr. Brian, The content of your interviews is excellent. As a former radio professional, though, I have to say that your introductions and closes, outside the interview, are not compatible with the seriousness of the interviews. To me, they sound like you are trying to be a mainstream AM disk jockey. Your voice is exaggerated. It's not you. Please just be yourself--you've got important information to disseminate. I have to add that I'm not a fan of having a predigested detailed summary of the content of the interview, before hearing it. That's something you should put in the notes. I know the theory that you need to tell people what you will tell them. I feel my intelligence is personally insulted by that approach. I'd rather hear the information from the horse's mouth, the first time. Thanks for doing these podcasts. The fix to my observations is simple and painless, and will add to the integrity of the product.Read full review »
