“The podcast is now 1 year old! There is a small backstory to it:
I was frustrated by the format and time constraints of the usual Fin TV. Wishing for a way to learn more about the people who shape and move markets — the hedge fund managers, business people, strategists, bond managers, economists, regulators and quants -- I wanted to create a way to do a deep dive into who these folks actually were.
The idea is an adult conversation without any time constraint, trying to learn how they became the market participant they are today. I want to keep it as separate as possible from the usual finance media. If the podcast had a tag line, it would be "No stock picks, no forecasts."
The best scenario is when the listener feels as if they are eavesdropping on two smart market professionals having a deep conversation over a cup of coffee.
The guest list this past year has been phenomenal – the next year looks to be similarly exciting.
