Not what it appears to be
Early on in my journey to find out more about narcissistic abuse, I stumbled upon this podcast. Months later, I reached out to the podcast host, Kristin Walker to tell my story of therapist abuse because I had heard another survivor's story featured on the podcast. What followed made me lose all respect for both the integrity of the show and its host. As a survivor, your story should neve be shared with anyone who does not respect the sanctity of that privilege. Believing that this woman was who she said she was, was my first mistake. After several lengthy pesonal interactions both over the phone and via email, the final one which went unresponded to, I can only conclude that this woman is, ironically, the very type of person she rails against in this podcast. Hosting endless "experts" on the topic may lend her superficial crediiblity since she has no mental health credentials to speak of, but after my personal experience as a survivor who mistakenly shared her story with someone she believed to be an advocate for that community, I cannot see this as anything other than a tremendous farce perpetrated by a host who has absolutely no genuine compassion for survivors nor any professional or personal intregrity to speak of.Read full review »

Kristin is smart, funny, insightful, empathetic and working hard to make discussing mental illness as comfortable as discussing the weather.
