listen to later eps in QUIET area
Later episodes have many clips of jailhouse interviews with one of the killers that have very poor audio quality and are impossible to understand if there's any background noise where you're listening. I followed the DC sniper attacks as they happened back in 2002 and this podcast has some interesting background about the murderers. The real mystery about the killing spree is whether the older sniper planned to use the killings as cover to murder his wife and get custody of his kids, or if his anti-white racism was the main motive. We'll never know for sure, but it feels like Monster shies away from delving too deeply into the Nation of Islam's anti-white racism and black supremacy in general. It feels like if a *white* supremacist had been responsible for the killings there would have been much more focus on the ideology and the threat it still poses today, but Monster clearly focuses on Muhammad as a disturbed individual instead of an adherent to a racist ideology.Read full review »

The background music however is awful and distracting as heck and completely unnecessary.

Even though I wasn’t living in the DC area at the time. The podcast takes you on a spin chilling ride that literally hits home if you live in the area. Can’t wait for the rest of the season. Please release the entire thing so I can binge.

Don’t let the other comments fool you, this season is well produced and the host did a great job. It’s worth a listen if you liked the other seasons. Always loved the approach Monster have vs the other true crime shows. Keep it up
