Brought me back to my roots
I'd grown up in the western outdoors since day 1 of my childhood. However, like many have noted on this podcast, I never knew the importance of public lands, that is until I started listening to this podcast. More so I have been inspired by the many diverse speakers Ed has had on. They can vary from ranchers to photographers, farmers to painters, land trust directors to outdoor education leaders! I think a lot of people have only seen the west through one lense. But this podcast shows that we are a group of various backgrounds and interests that unite under our love of the American West. Ed does an overall fantastic job as a host/interviewer. If you listen to Outside, DirtbagDiaries, or Meateater podcasts you will love this one!Read full review »

This has quickly become one of my favorite podcasts. I also love the book reviews.

I'm very happy that I discovered this podcast. Ed talks with such interesting people, and I've learned much about the region by listening to these conversations. And the book recommendations...so many great titles I would otherwise have missed out on.Read full review »

Ed, Thankyou for your conversations!! I love the guests and the topics. I’m inspired by others and yourself, doing what you love and to hear the stories behind this is awesome.....not to mention the books they are reading.
