This is what Homophobia looks like...
I find the host to be very unprofessional. It goes way beyond the ridiculous mispronunciations (like Dardanelles and Ichor), it extends intentional misrepresentation of myths and history. He intentionally changes people who were lovers (only because they were same-sex lovers) into “buddies”, “friends”, “cousins”, etc. you get the point. Never happens discussing opposite-sex relationships, and allows himself to freely discuss rape and sexual assault. It’s pathetic, and quite frankly, this whitewashing of history to serve some puritanical sensibility is absurd in the 21st century. For anyone claiming to be a historian who intentionally falsifies one particular narrative, and only one, is a homophobic ignoramus. He claims to want to educate children, but apparently his message is intolerance, hate, and the conscious elimination of a whole group of people from history. Is that the lessons you want your children learning?

Surprising depth of knowledge, which is delivered in good humour without being distractingly chummy. happy to have found this podcast, and to have been on the receiving end of such time and effort.
