Two people wittering on. Hopelessly naive and unrealistic about the world they obviously know nothing about.

Such a rich, well written and executed source deserves better analysis. There was no discussion of story structure, key themes, no comparison within the genre or previous sally wainwright work. I don’t dislike either of the hosts but the passion for the source material wasn’t there.

I was so happy to find this podcast loving Happy Valley so much, but I found it really hard listening to, and one of the hosts seemed to miss so much of the plot and get facts so wrong that Im sorry that it wasn’t someone else doing it who had really absorbed all the many aspects that were...Read full review »

Don’t know why i didn’t start listening to this sooner, its fantastic and well worth a listen, I sometime even listen to it more than once

The ‘Obsessed With…’ series of podcasts are a great idea as well-deserved supplements to some marvellous television dramas produced for the BBC. In the case of ‘Happy Valley’ I can’t help feeling a little disappointed after every episode though. Whilst I am not at all familiar with the comedians...Read full review »

Really wanted to love this but hosts are slightly irritating and their conversations banal and immature.
Pollypocket3ooq via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 01/18/23
Agree with other review, conversation sounds a bit ‘forced’ and just doesn’t make for great listening. I’ll stick with the ‘Shrine Podcast’ to get my Happy Valley fix.

Enjoying this podcast so much, just as addictive as the show. The beautiful Lolly and handsome Brett are incredibly charming. Unless you have been floating up the Lagan in a bubble, how could they not be your LoD go to?

Isy and Amy are individually great but the first episode felt like chatting with two friends who are politely trying to talk about something they’re not that into. Making theories out of things sally wainwright has stated as fact in the press repeatedly over a few years is not insight. I think...Read full review »

Started listening after obsessed with killing eve. It’s a bit long, but listened on commutes. The hosts are good, funny, relatable but one of them has a serious sinus problem which I found a bit distracting…

I love this podcast. Their perspectives are really sharp and everything’s well-said. They even invited guests!

Really miss Laurence Mozafari. He was totally worth listening to. Five stars for him. RIP Obsessed with Peaky Blinders.

Killing Eve hosts sound unnecessarily stupid

Loved the new OW Peaky show. Great hosts. Good predictions lol

The host change & style was so jarring. What happened to the original hosts?
Filly Bu$ter via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 12/08/21
A rather uncritical look at the series. An in-depth discussion of the events from the show as though they were real life, without any references to the making of the series, e.g. the direction, the acting et cetera. I would like someone, sometime, to address the elephant in the room… The dreadful...Read full review »

Nerding-out but with mocking and humor. The Line of Duty hosts are a treat. I’ve also really enjoyed the Killing Eve ladies.
Kmillerca via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 05/23/21
Craig Parkinson was great, but guests very variable - the format only really comes alive when the guests actually *are* obsessed by Line of Duty. Sanjeev Bhaskar was brilliant!
fussgangerzone via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 05/21/21
I love Craig and guests but Sarah Millican spoiled the last episode. It was the “Sarah show” sorry not sorry!

Craig Parkinson is a great podcast host, I only know him from LOD so had no idea he was so funny. The guests on this podcast have been a bit hit and miss, Sanjeev Bhaskar was superb but one recent guest was so inarticulate it was excruciating. The phone calls with cast members have been great...Read full review »

Fabulous podcast. Am equally sad that this has concluded and Line of Duty has. What to look forward to now? Great podcast.

Found this podcast after bingeing LOD though that didn’t take away any enjoyment of the chat. Lolly absolutely cracks me up and I thoroughly enjoyed Brett regularly calling John Corbett Jeremy Corbyn 💀. They are a great combo and I’d listen to anything they recapped!

Sooo good with Craig Parkinson. I shall miss his intro and outro voice and insider knowledge of cast and series
Honeysu via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 05/06/21
The way the podcast handled the last episode just shows how out of touch it is with the fans. It’s purely a promotion of the show.
DD0209 via Apple Podcasts · New Zealand · 05/05/21
Getting Craig Parkinson in to do this instead of lolly and Brett Goldstein was probably the best thing the producers did.

Brilliant host, guests and analysis of the most addictive show on tv. Love hearing Craig’s theories just as much as I enjoy watching the show! Here’s hoping for more excellent writing from Jed and many more podcasts from Craig.

Absolutely brilliant and this has brought out so many discussions and well done to Craig Parkinson for such a wonderful Podcast series 👏👏👏

Yeah be loved listening to this on a Monday morning to see if anything I thought was anywhere near anything you thought. I’m mostly saying well done for hiding your disappointment that after all this they pinned it on Buckles. I’m trying to think of a time when I’ve been more disappointed about...Read full review »

You’ve let us down. Also DON’T LIE, you’re disappointed with that toilet of an ending too yeah? I’ll never watch another series. Craig Parkinson, I would put you part in LOD in your past and move on mate. No one will watch a series 7. Jed Mercurio booooooo hisssss.

Jesus, Mary and Joseph and the wee donkey, who the hell thought this guy was a good guest? I’m sorry but this podcast is just not hitting the spot for me. Craig P and his in luvvie jokes may be funny to him but not to everyone else. I shan’t be listening again. Sorry.

Great podcast with great guests keeping the LOD hype right through a Sunday night!
Zbeedee via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 04/26/21
I want to love this but it’s really let down by a very excitable host (As Kate might say, ‘Calm down, mate’ ) and some annoying guests – so far, Sanjeev Bhaskar has been the only one who has been enjoyable. Shame.

Finding it tiresome now. He’s just as creepy as Dot Cotton and so sycophantic. So much potential for an amusing podcast, they all need to stop bowing down to Jed.
