a cozy time with darkness in the shadows
Our aim is to leave an honest review that might give others an idea of what they're in store for. Star-ratings are all well and good, but the audio fiction world is so specific that written reviews seem to give a better taste of what's worth checking out for certain audiences in the hunt for scratching that story itch. That said October's Children is that nice combination of cozy like Twin Peaks mixed with otherworldly creatures and bizaare occurences. It starts off with an unexplained and deadly encounter that's being hidden by a leader in local authority. The audience hears all of it, so we're just waiting for the information to get out. Already we're in as listeners. There's something exciting being equipped with all the information and then watching like chess pieces as the people come together to figure this out or fall prey to the creature at large. This was a cool, fun listen and embodies my favorite thing about audio fictin - which is that there's more room for experimentation and being specific. October's Children feels specific yet familiar. Give it a listen, you'll want to stay in the town of Wolfbrook - at least until night falls.Read full review »

Downloaded to fall asleep to, but too good for that.

Great show! It’s so weird and the dread grows with each episode. I love the voices. It feels like Wolfbrook is right up the road and I know these people. Awesome job and excited to see where it goes!

Such a wonderful and spooky concept! The acting and sound design are phenomenal, and I appreciate that the actors and production staff are telling a diverse and inclusive story :)
