Another show that’s left you hanging, not supporting patreon ever again!

Downloaded to fall asleep to, but too good for that.

Amazing monster design, great performances, and an intriguing story. Love the realistic portrayal of queer characters. A must listen, especially if you like new England horror

For absolutely no reason. It does nothing to further the story except tell me that there’s likely a whole bunch of agenda pushing blue haired weirdos behind this podcast. One star.

Great show! It’s so weird and the dread grows with each episode. I love the voices. It feels like Wolfbrook is right up the road and I know these people. Awesome job and excited to see where it goes!

Writing and acting is well done. Gets a little cringy with the political commentary that seems forced into the flow of the show. It’s distracting.

Acting! Music! SFX! Ambience! Story! Top notch stuff. Not sure why people are dropping stars over ‘pronouns’ it doesn’t impact the story or flow negatively in any way… maybe they have a personal dislike of pronouns? Personally I felt there were too many verbs…but it’s still 5 stars

It adds nothing to the story

Interesting but hard to follow and sometimes it’s hard to tell which person is who cause the girls all sound similar .

I’ve been collecting podcasts featuring weird towns all across the US. From Night Vale to Mount Absalom to that weird town in New Jersey from Nothing is Wrong, I’m very much enjoying this show. Might not be able to do much as part of the passive audience, but hopefully I can do my part by...Read full review »

It has those good ol New England feels, but seemingly without some of the bigotry one finds there, I loved that there were openly queer characters and characters who shared their pronouns. The sound design is A+, there is some work at the end of E3 which sounded extremely real. Extremely good...Read full review »

Has potential as far as the story, the sond editing is really good (had a few inconsistencies where I had to keep adjusting the volume on my headset because dialog would be too low and then my eardrums would get blown out by loud monster/intense sounds), but it just feels like it's trying a...Read full review »

Not only does the mystery of what is happening in Wolfbrook keep you engaged, the sound design makes it come alive in a way not many audio dramas succeed at doing. It's got monsters, law enforcement you want to punch, queer and disability rep, AND an extremely loveable old lady who has...Read full review »

I always love hearing fictional stories based in NH wear I live, but the small thing that I don’t know if the author is aware of is on Lake Winnipesaukee there’s a town called Wolfeboro so when the sweet older woman was talking about something she said one time when we visited Lake Winnipesaukee…...Read full review »

October’s Children does an amazing job at keeping the listener engaged! I binged all the episodes in one sitting. The characters are written so dynamic and funny! It did take me a couple episodes to finally get a idea of who was who, since the cast is so large. The sudden switch from casual...Read full review »

I really like how this show uses both horror and comedy tropes to great effect. The show contains much more comedy than I anticipated from the branding or premise, and lively performances from a talented ensemble cast. The eerie low-tones used to build atmosphere are fantastic. I’m excited to...Read full review »

I just caught up with the first 6 episodes out now, and I’m very intrigued by this little sitcom town’s horrific mysteries! I’m loving getting to know the characters — lots of potential favorite personalities in this cast! My only struggle has been learning how to tell some of the characters...Read full review »

So many, so many tropes. But instead of being bogged down by them or giving into cliché, the show is delightfully light and fun. Light and fun for paranormal horror that can be gruesome at times. The show lives somewhere in the neighborhood of Night Vale and Twin Peaks with occasional forays into...Read full review »

October's Children is overflowing with youthful energy and it's a show that wears its politics on its sleeve. A diverse cast of characters populate a small town plagued by evil monsters and mysterious, sinister authorities. There's some sudden, gory sound design that is effective and...Read full review »

Our aim is to leave an honest review that might give others an idea of what they're in store for. Star-ratings are all well and good, but the audio fiction world is so specific that written reviews seem to give a better taste of what's worth checking out for certain audiences in the hunt...Read full review »

No thanks to living here, but yes thanks to listening from my own safe little town. The cast of characters is delightful and each one feels alive and whole. I’ll take crooked cops vs. broke millennial journalist vs. mysterious horror beyond comprehension any day of the week.

This audio drama really scores with its myriad of unique and interesting characters and there'll definitely be at least one of them who'll become your favourite. The plot is a bit slow at the start but it's building into an interesting mystery and I can't wait to see where...Read full review »

This show is a really great blend of New England tropes, really clever writing, and really squishy gore. Imagine Gilmore Girls but super haunted and about a small-town-famous juvenile delinquent, a snarky barista, an eccentric mechanic, and a Buick-sized mystery monster. Epically quotable and...Read full review »

i listened to the first three episodes of this show and enjoyed them quite a bit! the sound design of the very very first part of episode one is a mixed a little loudly but it levels out after that. the music is great and the story is interesting!

Such a wonderful and spooky concept! The acting and sound design are phenomenal, and I appreciate that the actors and production staff are telling a diverse and inclusive story :)
