“This podcast is one of my preferred tools to feel productive while I commute to work or workout. It really helps me stay up to date on the oil and gas industry when there is no time to read journals or watch the news. One observation I’d like to make is that in the two episodes in May 2022, Mark said that futures do not have an agreed upon price in the future. This is wrong, futures do have an agreed upon price called the execution price. Also, most transactions in the oil and gas industry are not precisely futures but forwards. Difference between these is that futures are exchange listed securities while forwards are OTC instruments and offer substantially more flexibility. Ok, I hope this helps and keep up the great work.”
