Jay can grow, listeners and critics too
I think there’s area for growth and validity in the critiques if Jay and his team open the space for feedback. On IG they need to get better at citing and giving credits to authors of quotes on both image and caption. On the podcast Jay can name the scientific studies he makes claims on: whole title of study, authors, what they did and what they found. Same for books and use of concepts and theories: who wrote them who proposed a concept etc. Other listeners can start demanding these standards not only to Jay but also other wellness podcasts where they don’t cite and just make health and psychology claims. Listeners can also learn to use what serves them from Jay’s advice and leave the rest.
