“I'll be blunt -- I don't know how one can be a thoughtful media consumer without listening to the ONE show that takes a serious look at how the media is created, is distributed, and in the end finds and engages us.
Perhaps there are two shows like this -- On the Media and the Daily Show. But frankly the rest of the media has become in so many ways a cartoon. You need to hear this show. On The Media and the Daily Show do a great job, time and time again, in reminding us how the sausage is made.
I also think that On The Media alone has taken a broad mandate -- looking at the Internet, at publishing, at the FCC, at the law, and more. And they never run out of interesting stories. So all I can wonder is why this is the ONLY show out there that really does this.
