Comfort and joy
This is so good. A sophisticated pleasure that’s hard to sum up. Highlights include: 1) it’s comforting to hear famous, important folk talk about real life: the universal experience of embarrassment, dread, grief, frustration, joy etc (it’s all here, Jay is an agony aunt as fine as his dear mum) 2) the food sounds yummy 3) it’s framed by kindness and respect, a left-leaning rarity in an age of bleak govishness 4) did I mention Jay is so NICE? 5) he chooses his guests well: great talkers who are pretty candid and swear an engaging amount. I could probably go on: do listen.

No idea who Jay ... ? Is, but its school break, I’m a Londoner living in Cape Town with two little girls who are both annoyed I’m not listening to them whilst I listen to Richard E Grant and cook during a power cut! Must subscribe, plus look up Jay thingy? on internet once power restored. Louisa
