My name is Phoebe to!

Seems odd that there are two suspicious deaths involving girlfriends of Ant Hampel, who conveniently has a parent and step-parent that are both judges!! Hummm I smell a rat. I’d like to see a podcast investigating Bailee’s death as well. I hope both girls receive justice!!

Well presented. Once again the Australian police fail……..I’ve listened to so many where police incompetence is eye watering. There’s so much suspicion around the boyfriend that isn’t helped by his behaviour.

A well delivered, investigative podcast. The weight of evidence was so imbalanced against Phoebe right from that fateful day post 12:00pm until she was discovered at around 7:00pm. Her parents Natalie and Len, Lorne and family and friends have been through hell and back on slow steam train. The...Read full review »

What a beautiful life. Heartbreaking story. I’m hoping some more can be done to bring justice to Phoebe and her family. Unbelievable really. Sending you love

It’s hard to say you enjoy listening to this podcast however it’s a really important story to be told. It’s clear important information has been suppressed by lawyers and coroner you can ‘read between the lines’. My heart goes out to the family who have & continue to fight so hard for answers...Read full review »

The language and narrative used to describe the ‘relationship’ 16 year old Phoebe had with a teacher is horrible. It then goes on to describe some strange idea that this poor young woman had ‘powers’ over older men. I was shocked listening to this. It was classic victim blaming and showed the...Read full review »

Excellent podcast, well researched, produced and presented. Gripping story and facts. Heartbreaking outcome and to think since this was released another one of Antony Hampel girlfriends mysteriously died in 2018, it’s insane.

Hi! I hope you all cover the case of Ant Hampel’s latest victim: Baillee Schneider. That would be a wonderful follow-up investigation following Phoebe’s Fall.

Good podcast and was wondering how we find Hazel Brown’s song from the podcast online?

I’m late to the game but I love this & just completed season 1, starting season 2!

Very sad story. The lack of police work is very frustrating. Don’t understand why the partner wasn’t a suspect when it was very obviously not a suicide. As for the actual podcast quality, we found the audio to be low quality and it was distracting having different narrators. The journalist’s work...Read full review »

This is a true crime pod worth your listen. Honestly the first true crime storytelling that’s brought me to tears. RIP Phoebe

Hey Sly as a 32 year VicPol veteran, thanks for your stories. I’ve enjoyed going back over some of the investigations, not all stories for obvious reasons. Looking forward to some new material particularly some of the more recent investigations. I reckon your followers would enjoy some of the...Read full review »

Heartbreaking story that stays with you. Respectfully presented without sensationalism.

I cannot believe the negligence of the people investigating Phoebe’s death and the obvious pay off of the coroner. I really hope they get to the bottom of this and all these people who’ve been influenced by Antony’s family (Sorry, I won’t use his nickname-so stupid) feel so wracked with guilt...Read full review »

I first listened to this story from Crime Junkies who referred this podcast. Ant’s later girlfriend also died, supposedly of a suicide which made no sense with evidence as well. Also, Ant was so particular about having his apartment clean, yet did not find it unusual that there was broken glass,...Read full review »

No one is safe in this country if this can happen and the police, coroner etc just let it go so easily and even actively cover it up. It’s horrifying. Poor girl clearly murdered by her boyfriend who has gone on to kill another girl. He needs to go to prison obviously. But what about the people...Read full review »

I had to stop listening to this. There are so many beautiful women in this world. There are times women, all beautiful, are abused. They a afraid for their lives and are ignored. Great podcast! Poor Phoebe and her family. Such an obvious coverup. I keep going back to no fingerprints around the entrance to the shoot. It’s outrageous that this wasn’t investigated correctly. I hope one day there will be justice for her family.

So in June 2018, this same man’s 25 year-old girlfriend was found dead of apparent suicide. Coincidence? Condolences for Phoebe’s family. This man killed her and it’s obvious just from hearing about the crime scene. In the US, I believe the would have at least been tried for this heinous murder.

Loved this podcast, despite my frustration at the obvious incompetence and coverups surrounding Phoebes death.

Really enjoyed this podcast & really feel for the family. There really is something just not right with this! I hope the law is changed and her family find out what actually happened.

One of my go-to podcasts when someone asks for a recommendation long form type. Thank you for covering this story and to Phoebe’s family, your daughter will not be forgotten by so many of us that only met her via this means.
Fishbowlbabe via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 03/19/20
Great work to the journalists who pursued this story. Her family are amazing and brave and their honestly about their daughter was heart breaking. This was not a suicide or an accident! Hopefully they will get justice for Phoebe and some sense of peace.

The parents are so well spoken and their grief is palpable. Makes for extremely difficult listening. A lot of information concerning the alleged involvement of the partner is not featured which leaves you feeling that a big part of the story wasn’t told. Of course this could not be helped. To start off, this is a very well-made podcast and I enjoyed hearing about the life of Phoebe and her mysterious death. However, weeks after listening I find myself unsettled by it. There are clear insinuations of someone’s guilt, around which there is no real evidence. I understand people...Read full review »

Quite clearly a case of miscarriage of justice. Highlights gaslighting by her partner to make Phoebe appear to be a depressed alcoholic with drug issues. Poor police work most likely due to the partner and his family being high profile people. The poor girl was under control by a narcissist who...Read full review »

I binge listened to this story in one day. It was executed beautifully and well spoken. It outlines the appalling mistakes made by the police and coroner. Completely compelling. Phoebe’s family have been so let down by the disgusting way in which the Police approached this tragic death . And the boyfriend? It helps to have family in high places.

I listened to this podcast a couple years ago and have never forgotten about Phoebe. Having been under the influence, I’m hearing too many red flags about this boyfriend, I’m hearing control and manipulation and also a privileged family with too much to lose. A salient reminder that where matters involving people with power, wealth and influence are concerned, things are often not what they seem. Perhaps the investigating police and court system were too dazzled by legal pedigrees? Cases such as these when more thoroughly investigated and the evidence...Read full review »

I gave up half an episode in. I was put off in the first instance when the minute long trailer started with a 30 second advert which was really confusing! I really enjoyed this podcast. I’ve been struggling to find a good podcast like the Teachers Pet and I found this one when I was walking my dog this morning, I finished it in one day! It’s super interesting and toll well But there are still so many unanswered questions !

This situation stinks. I am heart broken to have heard that this family have been so utterly let down by what should be a safety net for the public. The police were inept and there is so much failure at every turn. I wish the family all the best moving forward.

This is an extraordinary podcast into a truly tragic end to an innocent 24 yo woman’s life. Thank you for highlighting this case and the apparent injustice in the coroner’s verdict. Sad to see that the police in the more recent Baillee Schneider’s case also didn’t check phones but perhaps there was a reason for that.

They are SO ridiculously biased just because she's the victim. She was on drugs, lied to her family and friends about everything, and made unhealthy relationship and life choices. You can't make someone likable just because they were the victim of a crime.Read full review »

This podcast was interesting and very easy to listen to- it really needs more attention and follow up as it is so sad to think her ex is getting on with his life and there’s absolutely no repercussions for him. Would love to see someone push this case
