Diatonically Perfect Supplemental podcast
Please forgive the horrid play on words in the title but this podcast has been perfect for my guitar journey. Finally picked up the “battle axe” I was given about 10 years ago but never got set up or learn to play. Enter Covid. So since October I started this journey the cheapest way possible. Mostly you tube videos and one online guitar paid for program. Then I find play guitar podcast. My hands get tired very quickly for physical limitation reasons so I’ve been sooooo focused on music theory when I am spent from trying to play. This podcast is a perfect test for all the theory I’ve learned because even when you’re not that good at playing, when u understand theory u can listen to a clear crisp voice with clear crisp guitar play tips and literally see the fretboard in your mind as u listen. It’s kind of crazy actually. By no means ami as quick as an expert or even intermediate, but when he explains 7th chords, or chords in a scale, or notes in the major scale vs. the minor scale vs. pentatonic, theory forces you to imagine and hear where his fingers are placed and what notes within a small section of the guitar are being played. Just amazing stuff. I can’t wait for my finger strength, speed to catch up with my theory and beyond. When I get on my feet Lee, I will be definitely support your podcast in some way. Your lessons are built for a podcast and that can’t be easy to do teaching guitar. Good work man!

The ‘what to do’ is good, but Lee’s passion for explaining the ‘why’ is next level and the motivation I need to fill...Read full review »

5 stars for sure! Lee is a fantastic teacher and motivator. Let’s face it, learning to play the guitar can be humbling on its best day and super frustrating on its worst. Lee leaves you feeling like there is hope - even for a guy who, at 49 years old, often wondered if he would ever figure this...Read full review »

I had started to get frustrated. I saw myself as a campfire type of acoustic guitar player with nothing to do with playing specific notes on the fretboard. I had to give in to my teacher and there is no looking back. I just know the basic Pentatonic, Dorian, etc. I did not love to practice until...Read full review »
