I do not recommend Plus HER - A Stepmom’s Journey. Not only does Anne-Laurie Forbes do a poor job of vetting “Stepmom Lisa,” who she features on podcast episode eight, but when you do message Ms. Forbes and ask her to properly fact-check, she blocks and ignores your concerns. I’ve done my own...Read full review »

It’s hard to push back against the “evil stepmom” narrative with a podcast that features stepmoms who proclaim “I did not sign up for this”. Guest Lisa Williams admits that she was dating a man with a child, he was granted custody when his son was 4 and she didn’t marry him till the child was 11....Read full review »

Obviously doesn’t research the people she’s talking about because a quick Facebook search says it all. Very disrespectful towards people she obviously doesn’t know. The whole episode with Lisa made me feel bad for the little boy. She is not the victim in anything.

Love how I’m learning so much about the stepmom journey! Thank you for this 😊

Will not subscribe or recommend due to the content of episode 8. Stepmom Lisa left out the crucial fact that bio mom was in a very bad situation when custody was moved, she was later attacked with a gun and their son could have been killed. Look her up. Kate Ranta. She saved her sons life.

Love the episode where she talks about her mistakes. Stepmoms, we’re human!! All we can do is keep trying our best.

This show has helped me so much. To know that others understand the trials and joys that go along with those who stepped up. Anne is a thoughtful and professional interviewer.

Wow, the March 8th episode with Lisa involves attacking a biological mom who is a survivor of domestic violence. There are a number of misrepresentations, but the host specifically represents that the bio mom gave up her child for a man, but the man was abusive and later attempted to kill her...Read full review »

I love this podcast because of what it aims to do. I love that the host is clear, concise, and authentic. While I am not a stepmother myself, I appreciate this podcast because it heightens my awareness for the stepmothers who are not only in my circle but who I may come into contact with...Read full review »
