This podcast gives me an opportunity to explore and think about topics I never got to study or understand in any detail. It’s like sitting in on a university tutorial. Mentally and emotionally fulfilling; thank you very much.

I’m not sure there’s been an episode I didn’t love. Sound needs work.

Enjoy the breadth of speakers, but really wish the host would let the speakers articulate themselves and just stop talking so much.

Often very intelligent discussions but could be better organized and less wordy.

I really enjoyed the discussion of the Pauline church, but felt like you missed an opportunity to talk about apocalypticism on the contemporary far right. Every single parallel you pointed out is present in a very clear form among the conservative movement, and right-wing apocalypticism is...Read full review »

As a long time Political Philosophy subscriber, I have been enriched, enlightened and ennobled. PP is not lofty, but definitely above the fray. Yay!

I found the show is a great alternative to the pop-political podcasts that seem so ubiquitous now. Politics and political philosophy are a deep and complicated web of ideologies and political systems that have been tangling together for centuries. This podcast does a great job of going in depth...Read full review »

I have learnt a lot from listening to this podcast over the past year. Toby strikes a really good balance between discussing contemporary, historical, and perennial political issues.

Political philosophy can be daunting, even for us political junkies. If you want to step out of the Trump era and get your bearings on some fundamental aspects of politics — ideology, the nature of freedom, how institutions shape cultures and vice versa — the Political Philosophy Podcast will do...Read full review »

Capacious, syncretic, evocative, and important. Buckle reads widely & brings intriguing guests into unexpected conversations.

So much to be learned from listening to any one of these shows. It's advancing what we do know and delivering to all what. A must hear for anyone who wants to talk about PoliticsRead full review »

When it comes to political philosophy (especially in this contemporary politically fraught landscape), this podcast approaches the topics raised from a place of genuine curiosity and explores ideas, policy and ideology without vitriol (even when it’s warranted). Smart, funny and accessible.

Enjoyable, fair-minded, well-prepared presentations. His own views—on debates past and present—are both clearly delineated and thought-provoking.

Superb intellectually enlightening deep dive into the often complicated ageless art of political philosophy through impressively eclectic views and a highly articulate host. Truly excellent. Always a rewarding listen.

While I don't always agree with him on the subjects he discusses, I find this podcast a nice and informative take on political philosophy. My only recommendation is that I would like it if he had more guests challenge him on certain takes because he is thoughtful enough in his interviewing....Read full review »

Tired of this podcast. Seems like the host is wishing for a good old aristocracy while claiming support for democracy. Wish he’d read Dewey and look at democracy as a cooperative enterprise over time, rather offer his patronizing view of ignorant voters who don’t really understand what they’re...Read full review »

I enjoyed your perspective on race and IQ; I agree that this topic if true can be a loaded gun and become very dangerous. I do think a lot of the bell curve has valid points; I believe in a lot of it simply because of life experiences and researching the topic. Just to let you know Americans...Read full review »

Toby is engaging, well read, self reflective and warm and enthusiastic with his guests, who are top quality. He also develops themes on his own in some podcasts that are deeply thoughtful. It feels like a double shot of espresso to get the mind buzzing with ideas. And there are no adverts.

Very good podcast. Thought provoking conversations on tough optics with top-notch guests and very little political bias. Very happy I found this.

Thank you for this podcast! The guests are always incredible people and I like the way you don’t shy from hard topics.

I greatly enjoy this podcast. Out of all of the philosophy podcasts out there this one stands out because, while being academically absorbed at times, it’s very accessible for someone like me with a layman’s understanding of the topics being discussed.
