A must listen
The show seems to have gone through a format change where there's less debate of one big issue and more emphasis on longer 1 on 1 interviews. I like both formats and I think it's worth mixing the two over the series. However, both formats are excellent - whilst I enjoy the Andrew Neil / John Humphries confrontational interviews as we need to test the policy - they often leave the listener learning very little. There is a huge space for longer, conversational style discussions with politicians where we can actually learn what they are like as people, their views and background. Mix of left and right and despite other reviews - little bias as far as I can hear. Nick is also very open in his anecdotes often admitting mistakes which is funny and endeering and adds a lot to the podcast. Given the current political divisions that are growing in a negative way - we need more of this.Read full review »

More reviews of Political Thinking with Nick Robinson
Love this podcast - I started with Osbourne’s interview of Nick and was gripped. Now working through the previous episodes, they are all great to listen to. Light hearted they often show a different side to well known politicians.

... I love Nick Robinson and I love this podcast. No party political nonsense, just thoughtful views. How marvellous.
