I was looking for a new podcast and started with the episode of symptoms in the first 20 weeks. Middle of the episode, a male doctor is saying “women are very complex creatures. And when you put them in situations where they don’t feel well….”. Complex creatures? Shove off. You try being pregnant.

I really enjoy listening to this podcast, however I do prefer the boob group podcast they do. I imagine this is because, while I am American, I live in the UK and would love a slightly more international approach to these subjects. I would love to recommend these podcasts to friends here but I...Read full review »

Yak yak yak. A lot of talking without saying anything of value. I tried 2 episodes, one on the Bradley Method and another on a different birthing method, I cannot remember the name…They were basically advertisements for the methods without actually explaining how to do them.

I like the topics covered and the friendly hosts. But hate the stupid child reading a disclaimer at the end of the episode. Very infantilising! Also there are so many ads. Skip to 9-10 mins in for actual content.

I’m a young first time mom, navigating my pregnancy journey. I lost my mom to breast cancer 2 months before finding out I was pregnant and I honestly look up to all the ladies on the show for questions I would have asked my mom. I love the variety of panelists and experts, as well as the great...Read full review »

I do like some of the information but on many episodes they talk about basically how bad c-sections are. Even referring to the time before c-sections were performed, but what’s not mentioned is infant death during birth was MUCH higher as well. I don’t like the shame they try to put on women who...Read full review »

It takes way too long to get to the point. I’ve listened to so many pregnancy podcasts and I don’t even think I can finish one of your episodes.

Please stop advertising folic acid .. we need to be preaching methylated folate . Come on ladies !

New to this podcast , seems like they have good content and great/helpful information to provide. But the amount of advertisements are over powering and have put me off listening to more episodes.
Ainegy via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 01/26/21
10 mins in an episode and they have yet to speak on the topic yet I’ve had 3 ads given to me. Seems like a waste of time. Please just get to the topic which is why I’m here. Also the information is definitely outdated. You would be better off with a different podcast

I really enjoy this podcast especially as a first time mom. But I can tell that a lot of episodes are uploaded that are not current, and may not apply to the time of year of the current events happening in the world. I enjoy each episode, but I would appreciate more consistency and timeliness I...Read full review »

Love this podcast but sometimes I can tell its a re-upload and it’s not current with what is going on right now with covid. I’m having a hard time finding their website and social media ... when I search for it nothing comes up. Where can I find these resources you keep mentioning?

I’d love to listen to this as the topics are highly relevant and interesting... but the girl-y chatter and advertising are annoying and distracting. The ‘Baby Talk’ podcast for example, goes straight to the point. I would recommend cutting out the clutter and just delivering the information.

In a podcast you mentioned mom and baby affirmations. Where would I find that?

I love this podcast! More than ever though, I would really like to hear more about pregnancy and covid 19. People are not allowed to have a support team in hospitals anymore and if midwives get cancelled, like they have in other countries, what are people doing? I’d love to hear more and see more...Read full review »

Just got pregnant semi unexpectedly and been searching for a podcast with enough content ! Only just started listening. But I am grateful for the work put into this podcast and the volume of useful content.

Great podcast but the microphones peak and distort when the panel members laugh. This could be easily resolved in recording process and in the final edit.

Why are there two speakers that haven’t gone through birth before speaking? This makes no sense. Additionally, I don’t know if I just picked three moody episodes, but the judgmental words and tones are obnoxious. If you want a neutral, informative podcast that’s not judgmental and doesn’t have...Read full review »

The podcast has great info but is buried in a ton of ads. I understand having to pay for the ads but you dint get to the content until over 10 minutes in and then there are more ads even after that. There are much better blogs.

Listened to the breast pump episode and it took over 12 minutes to actually get into any content - the rest was filled with unnecessarily long intros and ads, very frustrating and annoying. I won’t be listening to any other episodes.

I honestly wanted to believe this podcast would have helpful info but after listening to 20 episodes I was disappointed by the waisted time of adds and endorsement. In 30 mins of a show you get 20 mins of cumulative add and only 10 mins of helpful info.

Helpful and fun pregnancy discussions covering a wide range of topics. The hosts have experts to each topic and, while it’s not - and should not be - medical advice, it can give you insight into topics you might not have known to research or discuss with your care provider. One small gripe - ads...Read full review »

With the really long intro, way too many ads and so much “in” girlie-friend laughing and joking.. I really struggle to justify the time to listen. A shame, the actual content is really quite useful.

Half of this show is adds. I understand they are necessary, but I spend half of my commute listening to adds. I’d rather get my info elsewhere. I also find that the show is off topic far too much.

I discovered this podcast when I was 35 weeks pregnant, but I still found something valuable in each episode to help me understand what was going on inside. It was especially helpful because I was a week overdue and needed a productive distraction-this was perfect for that.

Although it is US-centric so not always relevant to the UK, the UK pregnancy podcasts I've found are boring. The presenters have personality in this one and I've learnt so much. It's also nice because I haven't told anyone but it's like I'm listening to mummy friends. 💁🏻🙅🏽🙋🏼Read full review »
