“The reader is seems to incorporate the little nuances that make Pride and Prejudice a truly enjoyable novel, and reads with inflection in the right places. As this is a podcast, I do not think that the flaws are of very much consequence. I will, however, point them out: The first is that a few chapters are missing, and one cannot be downloaded; the chapters are also out of order. The second is that Mrs. Hurst and Miss Bingley have accents that are rather overdone. They do not sound English, and speak in a way slightly reminiscent of Elmer Fudd, with a lisp, and mispronouncing the letter 'r'. Overall, I am very satisfied, and very thankful to the person who has worked so hard to produce this reading.”Read full review »
