I would rather listen to the sleepy bookshelf, which is slower, but has all the chapters and gets you very sleepy. Also, they have tons of other stories.

Love the narrator, just frustrated chapters are out of order due to iTunes playing it by upload date and some are reuploaded it seems

The narrator is so good, she overcomes the disadvantage of having an American accent. Excellent!

Great recording but the order is messed up. In the middle of the first part, Mr darcy suddenly proposed, landing me in the last part.

I am throughly enjoying this reading of Pride and Prejudice: the reader really makes the text and characters come to life for me. This is not an easy book to read as it if full of dialogue with subtle meanings and the use of English is not quite the same as modern English but I think the reader...Read full review »

It's free and that's the best part. I have heard worse narrators (and certainly much better). The deal killer for me is that the chapters do not play in order, although I have my phone set to do so. The chapters are short, so I constantly have to wake up my phone so I can scroll through...Read full review »

it is a very good audiobook, the only thing that annoys me is that there is a Boniva advertisment at the beggining of each episode.

This is a great audiobook, and great to hear that it's free. I am thoroughly enjoying listening to it. But the amount of time and effort I've had to pur to reordering this, so that it reads in order, and renaming mislabelled chapters, does not make this podcast the easiest thing to listen to.

I recently discovered my love of pride and prejudice after seeing the movie version with Keira Knightly in it and recently began snooping around i-tunes to see what else i could find on the topic. I was delighted to find this free podcast and have found the book to be a million times better than...Read full review »

It's one of the good audiobooks. The reader does a few voices, not to make it too dull, but the text is good enough that it doesn't need more embellishments than that. The reader is excellent! I can listen to it any time!Read full review »

I thought this was great. I have been a fan of all of Jane Austen's books for ages and I thought the reader really captured the voices well. I can see the characters in my head talking to one another.

You folks are showing your ignorance. There is an older English accent or affectation that I believe was mildly common in which the r sound was replaced with the w. The L sound, as well. If you listen to some readers of English prose, you will often hear the reader using that accent for some...Read full review »

The reader is seems to incorporate the little nuances that make Pride and Prejudice a truly enjoyable novel, and reads with inflection in the right places. As this is a podcast, I do not think that the flaws are of very much consequence. I will, however, point them out: The first is that a few...Read full review »

For being free the podcast is a great buy. It is tedious to convert the podcast so you can rearrange it in audiobook format in itunes. But it is worth it. If memory serves me right...a lisp was considered a very attractive attribute to a lady in this particular time period. The reader may have been trying to give the Bingley Sisters a very high class air about them accourting to the times.

I found I couldn't get past her depictions of some of the characters. Why do some lisp when that is never mentioned in the books? I know Mrs. Bennet is supposed to be annoying but I just started skipping every passage with her in it.Read full review »

Although highly unconventional in its order, I'm glad there's a FREE P&P, its fustrating to see people being ripped off of books where the copyright has expired, meaning you can find it free on the internet!!
