A brilliant entertaining science show
I've been listening to this show for a couple of years now and it's so good that I've downloaded all the past episodes from the website (cbc.ca/quirks) which go back many years. It's Canada's number one science show and has been going since the 1970s. Each episode the host, Bob McDonald, interviews a handful of scientists about their latest findings on all sorts of different subjects. He is extremely enthusiastic and knowledgeable about science, and yet knows how to phrase questions to his guests so that the general public will understand what they are trying to convey. His introductions to each segment are imaginative and really draw you in and make you want to listen. He keeps the show fun and doesn't let it get too sober. This is one of the best podcasts on the web and would be excellent for anyone with a general interest in science.Read full review »

This is one of the very first pod casts I have ever subscribed to and it remains one of my favorite. The information presented is both enjoyable and easy to understand despite my lack of any formal science education.Read full review »

Love this show, helps me know what is new and how what is old is new again, i.e. Salt water croc the size of a camper van...! Nuff said.
