I was trying to solve the check box problem with the HABTM association. This was the first time i was trying and fighting my head around using the normal HTML tags. Your video really helped to use the ruby on rails magic to get things done. Please keep the good work going

I'm an experienced developer, but new to RoR and these podcasts are an incredible resource. Zero fat and straight to the point, you get the answers that you're looking wrapped around a 15mins or less video. You can't ask for more than that.

Love each and every episode! If you're new... Definitely consider the pro subscription. Amazing revised episodes!! Thanks Ryan for your effort towards the community over the years!

It's not a beginner podcast. Ryan looks at improving knowledge and more advanced techniques. If you have (or can get) a basic knowledge down, then this is great.

Ryan is nothing short of amazing! The Rails community would be far less bright without him. I have spent countless hours over the past 2 years going over rails casts time and time again in my Ruby and Rails education. It's uncanny how often Ryan comes out with exact episode to solve the...Read full review »

Of all the rails resources out there, this is by far one of the best. Each episode has taught me something new and not just how to do something. But a technique or convention I was not aware of before. Thanks Ryan.

This podcast covers rails at a level that is perfect for someone who is more than a beginner but less than an expert. Ryan covers interesting topics in short, well planned, easy to understand lessons. Highly recommended for anyone working with RoR.

When I got brought on to the Ruby on Rails engineering team at my work, my boss suggested that we all watch at least 1 Railscast a day. This is good advice that I would pass on to anybody who is interested in learning Rails. I had no RoR experience whatsoever and watching one of Ryan's...Read full review »

I refer to these Railscasts a lot when developing in Ruby On Rails. They are cleanly made, well explained and and just the right scope and size. You don't have to donate as they are free but I felt I had used them so much it was only fair.

One of the main problems of learning a new framework is getting a solid understanding of what you can do with the framework. Generally this is a laborious task that requires reading lots of documentation and poring over source code and examples. But sometimes the examples are not clear or missing...Read full review »
