3. Why and How We're Talking About Privileges and WIND
Listen now
Description
We have to talk about the privileges in our virtual WIND office, in the room(s) at WIND events, and within weight-inclusive spaces at large. What does it mean that many of us in this space hold so many unearned privileges (body, race, ability, etc.), and how do we act with intention and integrity once we know what those privilges mean?  Tune in to hear Heather Caplan, Kim Hoban, and Leah Tsui—of the WIND Team—explore this topic together, sharing what they've learned over the years of working within inclusive spaces and being faced with the power their identities hold.  This relatively short episode is just scratching the surface of this conversation, and we'll come back to it again and again, no doubt.  Thanks for being here for every body with us! Full transcript and show notes are available on weightinclusivenutrition.com.  WIND on Instagram: @weightinclusivenutrition WIND's Facebook Group, free and open to all providers, students, and interns.  WIND Professional Membership, for weight-inclusive providers.
