“The hosts' hearts and enthusiasm are in the right place, and they are consistently inclusive of diverse writers and storytelling. However, how many times can two literate ladies say "like" in an episode? The most recent show broke some sort of record and almost made me unsubscribe. But the recommendations are spot on for my preferred reading so I will stick with them. Hopefully they will improve (perhaps take a page from the "For Real" hosts from Book Riot. “This seems to be mostly a noir-and-gore mystery podcast. Lots of books where pretty young women get murdered. The podcast is heavy on discussion of hot issues in genre and lighter on recommendations.”
