“This is so informative and really up to date with legislation that is directly related to the issues being discussed.
A lot of reviews say that Jim & Laura are outspoken, I am really grateful that they do speak out about all these issues having personally faced some of them. I’m glad they are able to advocate for people so that awareness is raised and people who have power can do something to protect those who don’t. I don’t agree with the comments about Lisa being spoken over or patronised, I think to say that is patronising as Lisa is a grown women from a very competitive profession I would hope and guess that she’s more than able to hold her own and everyone’s contributions are equally as valid, heard and discussed. I love Jim’s honest reactions to some of the more horrific things that have gone on I think it’s really refreshing to hear this and to hear that what goes on isn’t ok and the perpetrators are not good people, for me it gives (and perhaps other survivors of abuse) Jim’s frankness provides a real morale boost knowing that someone of Jim’s standing is saying that what goes on is wrong and that these people are monsters can ease some of the feelings of shame and guilt.
