Well guys... this is it. We have avoided this franchise for all of these years here on Refund Theater, but one can't outrun the reaper..... he will always come. It's THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS!!! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/refund-theater/support

Just as the torch burns low in the darkest of night the masters of horror faded with time. It's not that they stopped making movies, it just seems that maybe they lost their spark. Take this weeks movie for example, by all means this should have been an easy movie for Tobe Hooper to make. But after seeing the terrible ADR, CGI, and some poor girls ASS it is very clear that Hooper stopped working overtime long before his ultimate demise. So kick back and try to enjoy a movie that tries to...

This week we review the movie you should show anybody who questions Adam Sandler’s talent. It’s a classic life swap movie in which one unlikeable actress showcases her range and plays two (possibly three!) unlikeable characters. It's boring, it's unpredictable (but not at all in a good way), it's insulting to the form, it's what Netflix chooses to do with our money, and it's the real reason TJ Miller was canceled! It’s THE STAND-IN!!! --- Support this podcast:...

It's been 24 years since us MK fans were graced with a sorry excuse for a sequel to a decent but neutered movie adaptation. But anyone who cared has not given up hope after all this time that the brand could possibly be redeemed. Depending on who you talk to, that time has come. While some may argue that there is still much to improve upon we can all agree that this is a vast improvement on the past. Will this be a flawless victory? Or will we send it to the bottom of the pit for a fatality?...

This is a podcast about bad movies. Sometimes we forget about our roots and actually want to watch good movies. Our dear listener Jeff decided that we were a bit too comfortable and needed an upheaval. So with a generous donation he tells us to watch this weeks selection. People, we haven't reviewed a movie this bad in a very long time. In fact it's so bad it barely warrants a discussion (aside from the awesome zombie v shark scene of course). Luckily for you listeners we were able to wring...

This week we take a radical turn down a Dusty road that heads to the zaniest freak show this side of Santa Monica! Back in the day movie studios would commit to making outrageous gross out movies by visionary creators for very little profit and we were all better for it. This film may not have changed the world, but if you let this wet dog boy in from the rain he will make you a very fun little companion. So get ready to see what Bill and Ted felt like doing after their bogus journey, it's...

The showdown of the century is here and we've got a front row seat! Normally we would be making a joke about how these "monster" movies sure do spend a lot of time on humans. But this time they might have done something right! But hey it isn't perfect, and that's what we're here for. So pull up a ringside seat to see which one of these giant creatures hits the other one hardest only to become friends and fight the real monster.... us. It's GODZILLA VS. KONG!!! --- Support this podcast:...

We have been having our biggest laughs over on Patreon, and this Anime movie about depression and bullying is our latest example! This is the first Anime we have reviewed and it sparked a hilarious conversation so we thought we would share it with you on the main feed to let you in on the fun. For only $5 a month you not only get access to dozens of hours of exclusive content but you also get to help program the show, this episode for example was chosen by our Patron Taylor! It's all...

Hey! What did you just say? Do we not work hard to put podcasts on your table? Get your coat, we are headed out to the rose garden in the middle of the night and you'd better grab your earbuds because this is going to be an a long one! And if I see a wire hanger i'm going to beat you so hard you'll be cleaning up soap until the wee hours of the morning while your brother watches in horror! And if these rantings don't make any sense to you then you haven't seen this weeks film. It's MOMMIE...

Well guys, you did it. You begged, you pleaded, you hash-tagged, you billboarded your way to victory as Warner has conceded and made the wrong things right. As is par for the course, we had to mark this historical event with an almost 3 hour long  conversation. Join us as Jacob defends his love for the Snyder-verse against 4 ravenous Para-demon (like) critics. It's earnest, it's dark, its gritty, and its 4 hours long. Look into my eyes, you will see a great old movie. Kevin Costner, Morgan Freeman, and when you're finally there you'll Alan Rickman no more. Don't tell me it's not worth podding for, we can't help it there's nothing we want more. You know it's true, everything we do, we do it for you the listeners. This week we take a field trip to the Tromaville dump! There we will find a movie studio that truly has no boundaries or taste, but we will be damned if a poo covered diamond hasn't emerged from their filmography. By no means is this a good movie, but it has a certain vomit stained charm that makes it a strangely light good time. So pull up a toilet seat and put some used cotton swabs in your ears to prepare them for the filth this episode has put forth. It's THE TOXIC AVENGER!!! ---...

They don't make them like this anymore. In a time where every popular franchise got it's own spoof some sailed and some failed. This one definitely sailed if you ask us! Get ready for a steady barrage of jokes, this movie means comedy business and won't go down quietly. This weeks movie is extra special to all of us here at Refund Theater. It's not every day that the Wayans brother round up everybody they know to make the most ultimate blacksploitation comedy of all time. Filled with jokes, action, heart, and Rock... Chris Rock! There are only two ways out of listening to this hilarious episode, you can go out the window or take the stairs! Somebody put Bob Odenkirk, Tim Heidecker, Thomas Lennon, Michael Shannon, and Will Arnett together to make a movie and it.... STINKS?!? HOW?!? There are a lot of factors that go into making a comedy that doesn't work AT ALL! It's boring, it's tone is way off, it's tame, and worst of all it could have been decent. We never know what we're going to run into when Ben picks the movie, but it usually means nobody has seen it but it’ll be a blast to talk about. This movie has more big cats than Joe Exotic’s wildest prison meth dreams, and apparently they’re pissed. The folks that made this film had a death wish, and they were ruined financially because of it. It's absolutely terrifying for all of the wrong reasons. Refund Theater has entered the stock market, which is fitting because this week we’re covering a group of friends who jump into something and get in way over their heads! Thanks to a donation from our buddy Jeff we get to play in the woods with three goobers, two nice young hairy ladies that live in a tree, and two or three bumbling pot growers covered in poop thrown by the nice hairy ladies. It sounds like your run of the mill buddy comedy to the naked eye, but this one seems to have a spark...

Just when we thought we had seen every crazy Karate movie the 80s had to offer, our friend Jonny throws this ninja kick at our faces! This movie has everything- karate, pop locking, the ghost of Bruce Lee, multiple fitness montages, a boss fight, and a fat guy eating cake in the street. Break into an abandoned house, light about 250 candles, and let’s kick it. It’s NO RETREAT, NO SURRENDER!!! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/refund-theater/support

Hey buuuuuuddddy! While you all were chilling on nugs we were watching a totally sticky flick. Its a return to the good old days. A time when no one had to worry about much but finding some grindage to munch on as you watched the latest Pauly Shore vehicle in your local cineplex. Pauly ruled our little teenage worlds for a couple of years in the nineties and this being his first starring role we decided to see whats still good with this chill weasel. So run don't crawl, crank up your walkman,...

Last week when we decided on this weeks movie we had no idea THIS is what we would be watching at the end of all things as we know them. What an odd little film. Its got a lot of stars that surely took up a decent amount of its $75 Million budget, the rest was spent on outrageous sets that this cinematographer loves and you just might too! Its about a cartoonist in a coma who gets stuck in a limbo like situation while his body is possessed by  the soul of his own creation. Sound deep? Well it...

As we prepared our schedule for the next couple of months we realized that there was a brand new DC movie dropping on Xmas day! Of course we had to watch it so we could bring you our dear listeners into our world of judgement. But did we judge this film harshly? It seems to mean no harm. This movie is very lengthy, but there was so much to talk about our episode is just as long. So if you wished for us to cover this 80s period action extravaganza, this Spuds for you. Boy the early nineties was a crazy time for movies. Movies like this could get made by a studio that believed in them. They would mostly bomb horribly but would always leave behind an impression on the youths that would get a hold of them at the video store. In this case this is a film that had a lot going for it but ultimately feels a little bit like too much of not enough. Let the bells ring out for Christmas, at the closing of the year. Oh man you guys. Normally we would encourage our listeners to watch the movie the current episode is based on but this one is so bad you might want to watch your step. Its Xmas time on Refund Theater! This year we are kicking off our celebration with a donation episode from our buddy Justin Peel! Its obvious that this Tim Burton classic has held up over the years, but we want to discuss a movie with some really interesting quirks. Christopher Walken helps a hopelessly unattractive man find the parents who abandoned him. No, it’s not Joe Dirt.
