I tried to get the audio guide at the colosseum but the line was super long. So I used this one and I was super happy. It was very informative but not too long. It had the essential information with a fun fact here and there but it didn’t flood you with facts you wouldn’t remember anyways. I used...Read full review »

I listened first to the Florence uffizi gallery episode. The guidance through the exhibition was clear and great info about famous artworks but also links to less common ones. Informative but not too long and here and there a fun fact. I enjoyed it a lot !

Took us to all the sights on our list with just enough detail to bring the place alive. Short enough to keep the kids interested and plenty of opportunity to pause and explore anything else that caught your eye. Not only made a great day out but we learnt a lot as well.

We used this audioguide for a self tour last week and it was not updated at all. Over half of the stated stops were closed/under construction and we were not even able to enter. Evidently, this audioguide was made in 2011 and not updated for 2016. Should be updated and not be available for...Read full review »

Rick always brings his A game. Funny, insightful, and enough details to help you feel like an insider. A treasure.

Without your Rome, Florence, Venice, Pompeii, list goes on and on…. we would have definitely have a whole different experience! You just don't know! I wanted to thank you Rick! Carlos Zepeda, Dallas, Tx.

We saved 3 hours of our day by using Steve's efficient ways around Rome. Especially at the Colluseum. .

My family was able to download all the podcasts and maps and take our own self guided tours. We enjoyed walking at our own pace and being able to hear the entire tour without having to fight our way to the front of the lines. The tours are complete and very well planned out. We spent a month in...Read full review »

Rick is perfect. Informative. Funny. Playful. Insightful. He makes it fun and interesting. He is a good story teller and I learned a lot. We played his audio when we were in The Sistine Chapel last year and it was sensational. He is the best.

I've been to Italy 5 times and always use Rick's guidebooks. To get them in an audio version and hear Rick joke around makes every trip an adventure. Highly recommended.

Thanks Rick!! It's incredible that this set of audio guides are free! We used all your tours for Rome, Venice and Florence. My wife and I used one iPod connected to a headphone splitter for the tours. It's amazing how many people are actually using the same audio guide at the same time. You...Read full review »

Though I have never been to Italy (not yet, anyway), Rick has given me an extraordinary guided tour. I have listened to these episodes dozens of times, followed along in art books (and now with the Google Art Project), and as a result feel as though I've actually stood in the Uffizi before the...Read full review »

I used these guides for our time in Rome and it was great. We could have rented audio guides for 5€, but I found that this guide was much better. Would recommend to everyone.

Rick steves guide to Pompeii saved my trip as I went without an audio guide and the guide book was really limited. I've since gotten plenty of his guides for Rome and look forward to listening to more extremely relevant history.

It's nice for us to have our hands free, and great for the kids. The podcasts (we've used the Rome and London ones) have not only almost eliminated the "another museum whine," but have the kids seeking them out. We were ready to leave the Sistine Chapel before they were!

We used the guide for the walking tour and for the Uffizi gallery. Fun and informative guides made a boring museum experience for a non museum loving crowd turn into a whole new positive experience. Very manageable and great for teens or those who are not so in the know about art.

We did the audio guides for Piazza Saint Marco in Venice, the Florence Historic Walk, and the Pantheon, Roman Forum, and the Colloseum in Rome. These guides were great! So much historical and interesting information, but not overwhelming. And they're free?! Looking back, I would've paid for...Read full review »

I used all the tours in Rome and thought they were terrific. They are interesting and do a good job of explaining what you're looking at and its historical context (especially helpful in places like the Forum where you would just be looking at piles of ruins without some guidance and...Read full review »

You should listen to a couple minutes before going. It was way better than the handheld things you rent. Thank you team Rick steves.

These are great audio tours, informative without going into too much detail. Myself, my wife and my 10 year old daughter all found them interesting, to give enough detail without boring the listener with too many dates etc. The audiotours that can be hired at a venue may contain more info. but...Read full review »

I went to Italy and used ALL of his podcasts. They are fun, informative and save you money on audioguides! I wish he had done one for Palatine hill, but I have no complaints about the others. They are clear, interesting and will make you see more than you would walking around by yourself. My...Read full review »

The Forum audio tour was a great way to learn about the Forum and the buildings that used to be there. The St. Peter's tour was good, but just a drop in the bucket considering everything that is in the basilica. My only critique is that Rick came across as a bit anti-Catholic in the St. Peter's...Read full review »

As usual, you can depend on Rick Steves to provide exceptional tours of Italy's popular sights! Tours are detailed, informative and, at times, humorous. The quality of the recording is very good, top quality. Directions are clear and concise and the information is never boring. These tours...Read full review »
