Liberal Comfort Food
First and foremost, I am a Democrat registered in California. I am, admittedly, not the type of person you might think of when you hear the words "right-of-center" but that doesn't mean that I can't appreciate listening to and observing the opinions of people I may disagree with. This podcast has been my comfort food in Trump's America. Anyone who has tuned in to NPR over the years should appreciate the format that is presented in the Ricochet podcast. This is a civil and polite discussion of the week's politics that is absolutely worth your time. You may not agree with all of the opinions presented here and that's ok! Polite disagreement is a vital part of what makes our nation so great. What makes this pod different from most, however, is that it isn't some grand attack on "THE LIBERALS" as much as it is a reasonable take on the week's news from a smart, rational Republican perspective. We all want a safer, more prosperous America and it is incredibly comforting to hear about a different path to that shared goal in spite of all the kerfuffle that dominates today's news cycle. Check out The Ricochet to experience a new perspective and subscribe to try and shrink that bubble a lot of us have found ourselves in. You won't regret your decision! Thank you for your time. Good night and good luck! P.S. If you are already a Republican it is still, most definitely, worth your time. Our nation needs some civility and people that slow down and LISTEN during these strange times we are in. We are all in this together.Read full review »

Robinson, Long, and Lileks are an important part of center right thought formation. Professional, engaging, and void of nonsense. For serious, thoughtful listeners.

This is the podcast I look forward to the most each week. Delivered, like cake, at the end of a tulmutous week (Fridays) our hosts offer a solid mix of commentary and humor.
