“Resilience needs to be discussed and addressed with patients !
Therefore I rated this a 5 star for acknowledging its importance and listing ways to teach /encourage resilience . It’s very helpful having people on the podcast discuss their lives and ways of coping with difficulties .
However , think some improvements can be made in content .
Everyone on your podcast is very “ successful “ by societal standards and everyone had supportive family . Right there you knock out many many many people who’ve done pretty well but aren’t physicians or attorneys and struggled through despite family abuse .
It might be good to include some other types of people / stories.
Also , be careful with stories regarding physical issues like Spina Bifida. If it’s located higher the individual cannot walk no matter how much will power or family support . Beware not to add shame by promoting the belief that “ trying harder “ is everything. It’s not .
Sometimes , acceptance with grace and gratitude for progress made -even if it’s simply ( or not so simply ) hanging in there is pretty miraculous .
Disclosure: I’m an abuse survivor/ trauma survivor.”
